When students need a break or a quiet place to process big emotions, they can visit with our Recovery Room Interventionist Mrs. Corte.

Mrs. Corte joined the Hawthorn team as our Recovery Room Interventionist in 2022. She supported students at Southeast Elementary for 10 years before moving to Hawthorn. She received her Bachelor's degree in Communication Management from Missouri State University. 

Mrs. Corte teaches students to understand, manage, and regulate their emotions independently. The Recovery Room is a space where students can process their big emotions or take a break.
