Administrators

Principal: Brooke Renton

Mrs. Renton has spent her entire education career with the district.  She taught second and third grades at Union Chapel Elementary from 1992-2009 and served as assistant principal in Park Hill from 2009-2017.  She was named a STARR (Select Teachers As Regional Resource) Teacher for Missouri in 2000, a finalist for the district's Teacher of the Year award in 2001 and she received the Clay-Platte Missouri Outstanding Assistant Principal award from the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals in 2010.  In 2022 she was recognized by the Northland Chamber of Commerce for Excellence in Service to Education and was named one of Missouri's 12 distinguished principals in 2024 by the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals.  

Mrs. Renton received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Missouri Western State University, her master's degree in elementary school administration and leadership from Northwest Missouri State University, and her educational specialist degree in school administration from the University of Missouri- Kansas City. 

Mrs. Renton and her husband make their home in Weatherby Lake with their two sons, Luke and Nathan.  They enjoy going to movies, vacationing, and spending time boating, swimming and relaxing on the lake.  

 

Assistant Principal: Kristen Mitchell

Mrs. Kristen Mitchell became the assistant principal at Hawthorn Elementary and Union Chapel Elementary starting with the 2024-2025 school year. As a military spouse, Mrs. Mitchell has lived and taught all over the United States and abroad. She joined the Park Hill family in 2019 as a 1st grade teacher at Hopewell Elementary. Mrs. Mitchell was a Park Hill School District Star Award recipient in 2021. She was also a Northland Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Classroom Teaching nominee in 2022.

Mrs. Mitchell earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Florida State University, her master’s degree in guidance and counseling from Bowie State University, and her educational specialist from Northwest Missouri State University.

Mrs. Mitchell and her husband, Rob, have three boys. Liam, Jack, and Ryan are all current students or alumni of the Park Hill School District. They enjoy traveling, playing games, and taking their dogs for walks.
